Attainment of health is the desire of every individual. With the aim of that, Indira Gandhi College of Nursing was established in the year 2004. This programme of study offered by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore. The sole objective this course is to provide job Oriented education to rural students and to those coming from weaker section of society. Indira Gandhi College of Nursing has a beautiful 5 acres of campus at Medahalli, Bangalore with good infrastructure of well furnished class rooms, seminar hall, Labs, hostels for girls and boys, play ground and a well-laid garden.

About the Course

This programme of study leads to a 4 years degree course offered by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore. The Students are provided with theoretical instruction integrated with clinical experience as per the INC requirements. They are also provided with the advanced clinical experiences in all clinical areas to enable the students to take up the first level position in Nursing, which will move rapidly into leadership and Supervisory positions in various areas of Nursing education and practice.

Uniforms and Books

The College will provide uniform after collection of uniform fees from the students. The candidates are expected to have 2-3 sets of prescribed uniforms, when in uniform no form of jewelry must be put and no use of nail polish is allowed. They are expected to be in clean uniform always. Students are also expected to purchase the prescribed text books and record books.
