Eligibility for Admission

A Candidate seeking admission should have Passed the two year Pre-University examination or equivalent as recognised by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, with science subjects, Viz., Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Obtained at least 45% (Forty-five percent) of the total marks in science subjects of the qualifying examination; if belonging to a schedules tribe, should have obtained not less than 40% (Forty percent) of the total marks in science subjects of the qualifying examinations.

Completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete this age on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

How to apply

A request the prospectus and application form should be made to the Chairman, along with D.D. for Rupees 300/- (Three hundred only) drawn in favour of the college. The duly filled-up application along with the necessary documents should be sent with a crossed demand draft for Rs. 150/- (One hundrerd fifty only) payable to the college as registration fees. Fees once paid will not be refunded.

The following documents duly attested should be enclosed with the application:

  1. One photostat copy of the statement of marks of the qualifying examination (10+2)

  2. One photostat copy of the SSLC certificate showing the date of birth>

  3. Two latest passport size photos. one affixed to the application form and one extra

  4. One photostat copy of SC, BC certificate duly certified if applicable.

  5. Conduct Certificates from the Head of the institution last attended and from a prominent person of your locality.

  6. Medical fitness certificate from a Registered Medical Practitioner.

  7. Migration Certificate from the University

General Information:

  1. The candidates shall bear all expenses in connection with the selection of interview. They will have to make their own arrangement for accommodation during the interview.

  2. The provisionally selected candidates after the interview will be intimated about the fees payable to the institution.

  3. Selection-intimation-letter is to be surrendered to the college office at the time of paying fees.

  4. Admission secured on the basis of false information supplied shall stand cancelled and the fees forfeited.

  5. All communications with office in connection with the application will be entertained only when the application number is quoted. All communications from the college will be made if a self addressed stamped envelope is enclosed.

Admission granted is provisional to:

  1. The payment of all fees payable to the institution.

  2. Submission of all Certificate to the Rajiv Gandhi University in case of Non-Karnataka State Students

  3. Submission of all certificates and testimonials in original as per requirement.

  4. Medical fitness Clearance Certificate. Form registered Medical Practitioner.

Admission approval payable to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences will be extra.

General Nursing

Admission Procedure

  1. The Minimum educational qualification required for admission is 10+2 P.U.C. or P.D.C Pass or equivalent.

  2. Students should be medically fit.

  3. Age limit 17-35 years

How to Apply

A request for the prospectus and the application form should be made to SJES Secretary, or the Principal along with D.D. for Rs.250/- or payable in person by cash.

The filled up application form should be sent to the Principal of the Institution along with the following:

  1. Copy of P.U.C. Marks Card & Certificate.

  2. Copy of Birth Certificate.

  3. 4 Copies of Passport Size Photos.

  4. Conduct Certificate.

  5. Physical fitness certificate by Regd. Medical Practitioner.

General Discipline

Nursing profession which demands altruistic services from its members exerts self discipline at a personal level and general discipline in the campus

  1. Regular attendance as well as punctuality is expected from the students at lectures, demonstrations, practical, field work and other such academic exercises as well as in clinical field work and other such academic exercises and clinical experiences. They are required to attend allotted working period in each of the prescribed subjects.

  2. Students are also required to present themselves neat and tidy in their dress, avoiding exaggerated fashions.

  3. The students should wear the prescribed complete uniform for duty including sandal shoes and name badges. A pair of simple ear studs are permitted on duty.

  4. A sense of decorum and discipline is expected from every student in the college, hospital as well as on the entire campus. Ragging is strictly prohibited. They shall not indulge themselves wither individually or collectively in any form of activity that will bring down the good name of the Institution / Nursing profession.

  5. Students should refrain from disfiguring walls and furniture and from other objectionable practices.

  6. Students will refrain from the form of indiscipline unfitting to members of the nursing profession. They will strive at all costs to be loyal to the ethics of the institution and professional code of conduct.

  7. The students should speak only in English or kannada in the campus failure to follow these and such other regulation will necessiiate the management to take disciplinary action as deemed fit.
